• Mr. Tupa


     Mr. Tupa teaches Biology, Earth Science, AP Environmental Science, Human Anatomy Physiology, Criminalistics, Environmental Science, and is the Gibraltar Ecology Club Advisor.  Mr. Tupa continues to be an active member of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress since 1995, (serving as the WCC Door County Chair, Great Lakes Committee Secretary, and Outdoor Heritage and Education Committee Chair).  In 2005, Mr. Tupa enrolled Gibraltar into the WPS Solar Wise Program and was awarded a 2.5 kw photovoltaic system for the school.  In 2009 he was named "Wisconsin Conservation Educator of the Year" by the WCC.  In 2010 he was named "Door County Conservation Citizen of the Year" by the DCEC.   In 2013, Mr. Tupa helped organize the first Youth Conservation Congress, (involving high school students from all over Wisconsin, encouraging students to participate in natural resource management).  In 2015, after earning his Wisconsin Master Naturalist Certification, Mr. Tupa enrolled Gibraltar in the Green and Heathly Schools program, making Gibraltar the first Door County School to become a "Green and Healthy School."  When he is not teaching or working with local environmental organizations, Mr. Tupa enjoys fly fishing and traditional archery hunting.
