English 9
English 9 is the first of four years of the required English Language Arts curriculum. Students will continue the study of literature and composition using a selection of diverse texts and writing assignments. They will study basic literary structure for several forms of literature and focus on creating and editing a range of compositions throughout the year, including creative writing options, rhetorical pieces, and technical works. In addition, students review grammar skills and usage, develop vocabulary skills, apply critical thinking skills, and practice oral communication.
